Youth Educational Programs at the Polk Clark Community Center

New Beginnings After-School Tutoring Program
Our New Beginnings After-School Tutoring Program supports students in grades 1 through 8 with focused instruction in reading and math. Held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, this program offers small group instruction tailored to each child’s needs.

New Beginnings Summer Program
When school is out, learning doesn’t have to stop. Our New Beginnings Summer Program is a five-week educational experience that combines learning with fun. This program is designed for children in kindergarten through 8th grade, and it runs from May 27 to June 27, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
What’s Included:
- Daily academic exercises in reading, writing, and math
- Enrichment activities like arts & crafts
- Field trips to broaden horizons
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided
- Supervised care in a safe, supportive setting
The cost is just $75 per child for the entire program, which makes it one of the most affordable summer opportunities in the community.
