Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve
Welcome to the online home of the Gibson County Training School / Polk-Clark High School Alumni Association, also known as the Polk Clark Community Center.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preserving the proud legacy of the GCTS-PCHS while continuing to serve the Greater Milan community through youth education, senior support, and community services.
A Proud Legacy of Service and Education
Founded in 1926, the Gibson County Training School was a beacon of education, leadership, and opportunity for Black students during segregation. Later renamed Polk-Clark High School, it became a center of community life and empowerment in Milan.
Today, the GCTS-PCHS Alumni Association proudly carries forward that legacy. We honor the past while building a stronger, more connected future for the Milan community.
National Recognition and Community Impact
The Polk Clark Community Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a designation that celebrates its cultural and educational significance.
We are becoming proud partners of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, for whom we offer a safe and enriching environment for children and teens right here in Milan. Together, we’re creating brighter futures for the next generation.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
